Express Marriage

Express Marriage in the UAE

For couples marrying against a date that will not move. Abu Dhabi issues in one to two working days, Ras Al Khaimah in seven — but what decides whether you make it is the paperwork behind them, so that is where we start.

Express Marriage

Fast. And entirely official.

  • Certificate from 1–2 Days
  • Abu Dhabi & Ras Al Khaimah
  • Priority Appointment
  • Dedicated Support

Choose Your Destination

Two Emirates. Two Different Clocks.

Express is not a different marriage. It is a civil marriage in Abu Dhabi or Ras Al Khaimah moved to the front of the queue — the same government certificate, with the same recognition. The two are not equally fast: Abu Dhabi issues in one to two working days, Ras Al Khaimah in seven. Either way, that count covers the appointment and the issuing once your documents are in order; a document that still has to be legalised in another country runs on its own clock. We tell you which of the two you are really waiting on before you book a flight.

    Abu Dhabi Express

The capital at priority speed, and the fastest route in the country — the one to take when the date cannot move.

    • 1–2 working days from appointment to certificate
    • Highest international recognition
    • Several appointments each day
    • Same-day slots at short notice
  • A resort terrace above a quiet shore, ochre mountains beyond at sunset

    Ras Al Khaimah Express

An hour north of Dubai, quieter, and usually the easier appointment to secure — a week rather than two days.

    • 7 working days from appointment to certificate
    • Easier availability at short notice
    • A calmer court and a shorter queue
    • MOFA attestation included

Eligibility and your document list are confirmed in the consultation. Where express is not realistic for your case, we say so before anything is booked rather than after.

Who Is This For

Couples Marrying Against the Clock

Express exists for one reason: a date that will not move. The eligibility is the civil one — open to non-Muslim couples of any nationality, with no shared passport and no residency requirement. What changes is only the pace.

  • Visa & Residency

A spouse visa, a residency file, a sponsor’s deadline. The certificate has to exist before the window closes.

  • A Short Stay

You are in the Emirates for days, not weeks. The preparation happens before you land, so the appointment fits inside the trip.

  • Relocation

A posting that starts next month, in a country that will only move the two of you as a married couple.

  • Family Already Flying

Relatives booked, a venue held. The legal marriage is settled first, and the celebration stays a celebration.

  • Next of Kin

Insurance, medical consent, a spouse on record. Sometimes the paperwork is itself the reason to marry now.

  • Documents in Hand

Everything already legalised. Then nothing stands between you and an appointment — and express is simply the shortest way to one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions Couples Ask Before They Book

01 How fast is an express marriage, really?
One to two working days from appointment to certificate in Abu Dhabi, and seven in Ras Al Khaimah. That clock starts when your documents are ready — not when you first write to us. Where papers are already legalised, Abu Dhabi can be done within a week of arriving.
02 What actually causes a delay?
Almost always a document that has to come from somewhere else — a divorce decree, a proof of marital status, a birth certificate that has to be legalised in its own country first. Nothing we do at the UAE end compresses that. We look for it in the first conversation, because it is what decides whether express is possible at all.
03 Is an express certificate different from a regular one?
No. It is the same government marriage certificate, registered the same way and recognised the same way. What you are paying for is priority in the queue, not a different document.
04 Abu Dhabi or Ras Al Khaimah — which is faster?
Abu Dhabi, clearly: one to two working days against seven. It also holds more appointments each day and carries the strongest international recognition. Ras Al Khaimah is the calmer court and usually the easier appointment to secure at short notice, so it wins when the constraint is availability rather than the calendar. We recommend one once we have seen your two passports and your dates.
05 Do we both have to be in the UAE?
For the appointment, yes — both partners attend the court in person. Everything before it can be handled remotely from anywhere. If neither of you can travel in time, an online marriage may be the faster route, and we will tell you so.
06 Can an express certificate still be legalised for our country?
Yes, and we fast-track that too — MOFA attestation, then your destination country’s embassy where that country requires it. Worth planning from the first day rather than the last: legalisation runs on its own timeline and is often the longer half of the journey.
